Graphical representation of me trying to figure life out.

Imagine you had way too many Jägerbombs, did a few cartwheels, ended up on a cliff and realised that your life is mind-numbingly perfect. Not that all of these things will happen in such quick succession (they shouldn't, ideally) but you know the way you will feel on that cliff? That is exactly how writing makes me feel; it gives me a high.

I spent four years studying Fashion Design in India after which I accidentally landed a Fashion Copywriter job. Till that point I honestly didn't think it was possible to earn a living writing about fashion (that hasn't changed though). My 9-5 schedule included two things that I was most passionate about and I was sold!

Even though short-form copy was fun – SEO, not so much – it didn't feel enough. In 2018, I left my job and headed to Central Saint Martins (London) where I pursued an MA in Fashion Journalism. That year taught me two things: 1) It is NOT possible to write 2000 words in a day 2) When people ask me, 'so what the hell do you write about anyway?', I should ignore them.

All the cheesy history aside, post my stint as a freelance fashion & lifestyle journalist, I currently handle branded content for HT Brand Studio, the native advertising wing of Hindustan Times, one of India's leading national dailies. Yes, I am one of those people about whom #AgencyLife memes get made.

Now you can head over to the home page again & check out the articles that come bearing my name – they are an interesting bunch, I promise! Oh btw, let me know if you'd like to grab a coffee/have a conversation?

That's me pretending that I have figured life out.
